For you arty and crafty people, we welcome the newest addition to the collection, "arts and crafts". As the folder suggests, it is for art and crafts. What are those you may ask. Well, for the definition of "arts"...
Art - The expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture,...: "the art of the Renaissance" (is the definition that Google offers since Macquarie isn't to helpful on this field of thought... or any field come to think of it).
As this definition is inexhaustive based off of the context of this website, being that of art, we look to broaden our interpretation based comparatively upon the surrounding feature, being the definition for the word, "crafts".
and the definition of "Crafts"...
Craft - 1. skill; dexterity. 2. skill used for bad purposes; cunning. 3. an art, or job needing special skill; handling craft. 4. the members of a skilled trade, thought of as a group. 5. a boat, ship or aircraft. 6. to make skilfully by hand.
as these are plurals, one can understand the fact that the original definitions are to be understood in greater quantities other then the original basis of the word.
Now obviously, 1 does not apply because it is too broad. 2 does not because I say it doesn't. 3 is the definition that we are seeking to clarify on the first definition of 'art'. Though 4 and 6 are also accepted. 5 applies only to vehicles so please, don't get any ideas.
Well, if ever there was proof to make something drag out for longer then it should of, here it is (though I watched the BBC version of Pride and Prejudice... and I'm still good in comparison
Keira Knightly's version was much better and shorter, though it was less to the book and more to the time).
